Privacy
This covers the email sign-up, which is the only thing on the site that asks you for anything.
What we keep
When you sign up, we store your email address, which edition you asked for (Illinois, for now), whether the address is pending, confirmed, unsubscribed or bounced, and when each of those happened. That is all. No name, no location, no record of what you open or click.
Why
To send you the brief each morning, and the one email it takes to confirm the address. Nothing else.
Who sees it
Nobody else. We don't sell, rent, trade or share the list. Resend, the service that delivers our email, handles the address to deliver it and for nothing else.
How to stop
Every brief has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click, no login. After that your address stays on file only so we remember not to write again. A sign-up that is never confirmed is deleted after 30 days.
School requests
If you ask us to add your school, the form sends us only the school name by email and stores nothing.
Readers under 13
Two-Minute Brief is not for readers under 13, and we don't knowingly keep an address that belongs to one. Tell us and we'll delete it.
